    Sue Connelly

    Sue Connelly has over twenty years of extensive marketing communications experience in both the corporate and agency environments with companies including Sun, Atari, and Philips.  Sue
    earned a B.S. in Graphic Design, from the University of California atDavis, with special studies in International Trade and Economics.

    In 1993, Sue established Connelly Communications (www.connellycom.com). From strategic planning through program implementation, Connelly Communications creates programs that reach new markets, create loyal customers, and generate revenue. Connelly Communications' clients range from international Fortune 500 corporations to start-up companies. A partial list of clients includes Hewlett-Packard, Applied Biosystems, Silicon Graphics, NEC, Symantec, and Cisco.
    Sue also teaches Marketing Best Practices seminars to "raise the bar" of expertise within companies. In addition to her corporate clients, she also teaches her seminars at the Small Business Administration in San Jose and San Francisco, and is a guest lecturer at the Leavey School of Business at Santa ClaraUniversity, San Francisco State, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley. She has taught her seminars in the U.S. and internationally. In 1997, Sue founded the KIT List (www.kitlist.org), where she dedicates her time to "help great people find great jobs."  It is an email community that provides more than 3,000 job listings per month to over 59,000 subscribers.

    Working in partnership with her business partner, Elise Clark, Gretchen provides contingency staffing and placement of full-time professionals to Silicon Valley's high-tech companies.  Skyline
    (www.skylinerecruiting.com) has helped many Silicon Valley venture-backed start-ups and larger companies achieve their near and longer term product development goals by solving staffing challenges.

    As recruiters, Gretchen and Elise have placed more than 600 professionals in scores of companies. Their focus includes Engineering, Product Marketing and Product Management in technology areas including wireless, networking (routers, switches, interconnects), VOIP, storage, J2EE, web applications, enterprise applications and server apps.

    Gretchen's background includes more than 12 years experience as a recruiter as well as 18 years in program planning, management and new business pursuits for Lockheed corporation.   Gretchen earned her B.A. in English and pursued graduate studies at San Jose State University.
    Her customer facing career accrued nearly two million airline miles leading to her decision to create a venture which would enable her to play a greater role in her local community.  Conversations with trusted friends, an examination of personal strengths, and a few informational interviews opened the door to recruiting.

    Prior to founding Skyline in September, 2001, Gretchen was Vice President, Business Development and COO for Lloyd-Ritter Consulting where she got her start as a recruiter in 1996.   Before Lloyd-Ritter, Gretchen worked for Lockheed Corporation in functions ranging from program planning, operations management, new business development and engineering for systems, hardware and software products,  both commercial and aerospace.  Her work also included examination of best industry practices for software, hardware and acquisition management.

    Gretchen's experience informs her depth in recruiting for highly technical product development expertise and appreciation for the the diversity of talent needed for effective software and hardware development as well as competition for new business.
