Marketing SIG: How to Jump-Start Your Strategic Planning
The Monthly Meeting of the Marketing SIG
How to Jump-Start Your Strategic Planning
Conventional approaches to strategic planning often involve complex market research, detailed financial modeling, and extensive time, all of which are often in short supply for emerging businesses and startups. This talk describes an alternative approach, based on a business ecosystems model, that allows rapid leverage of you and your advisors' own market understanding, and combines it with tools to guide predicting how your business ecosystem may evolve, all to allow you to chart a more successful strategic course for your business without all the overhead of traditional methods. Today's talk will also suggest some "how to" steps on how to turn these strategic ideas in to operational actions, both in terms of driving your product development process as well as organizationally how to bootstrap your business going forward.
