Description

  • Whether you are just starting your business or you are ready to cash out, learning more about the acquisition processes is a must. This nuts and bolts seminar will address the do's and don'ts of selling your business.

    Speakers

Jacqueline B. Kessel (bio), Founder, HiTech Law
Gary Jones (bio), ValueNomics Research, Inc.
    John Cromwell (bio), Alliant Partners

Because 80% of businesses are sold rather than going IPO, it can never be too early to learn about how an acquisition works, and start positioning your company for your exit strategy. Even if you are looking at raising funding, you should also be looking at possible merger opportunities as an alternative to funding. These are tough times with tight capital markets and the entrepreneurs with the foresight to plan ahead will be the winners of tomorrow.

This is a seminar where you will get practical advice from top specialists in the M&A area. You will have the opportunity to ask the panel for advice and to participate. The speakers are going to make this an interactive session. Timing is critical for any acquisition, you will learn how much time you need to get a deal in place and the answer might surprise you.

The speakers will address these questions and more:

    • How do you maximize your valuation?
    • How will the buyer look at your value proposition?
    • Should you hire an investment banker?
    • What does it cost?
    • How does it work?
    • How does the process work?
    • How much information do you reveal and when?
    • What are the steps you take?
    • How long does it all take?
