    Within a generation of its origins as a marginal sideshow in the software world, open source software has become indispensable information technology in the enterprise and elsewhere. Does its growing acceptance threaten the viability of commercial software developers? This talk will address the challenges and opportunities presented by the rise of open source for the software development firms.
