    Breakfast with Ann Winblad

    Presentation Overview

    Dear fellow founders,

Do you feel as comfortable with a balance sheet as with a Web browser? Does generating a cash flow forecast feel as natural as coding an application? If you're anything like me, the answer is no. Yet as a founder or CEO, it's critical that we understand how finance and accounting work. If not, we may make decisions based on incomplete or incorrect information.

This month's guest speaker, Richard Booroojian, can help. Richard has over 25 years of experience in startup finance and operations, and will be sharing his methods for using simple financial models to understand the drivers behind your business. In this interactive seminar, Richard will show you how to use Microsoft Excel to understand the financial ramifications of your startup and to express that understanding in a business model.

Come join us on February 1st as Richard explains his system with real cases and examples. As usual, we will restrict attendance to the first 25 founders and CEOs that sign up, so sign up fast!

    About the Presenter

Richard Booroojian is an independent financial consultant and part-time CFO. He has 25 years of experience working with early stage companies in financial and operational roles. He has developed over a hundred different business forecasts and budgets for companies ranging from incubator to pre-public and M&A candidate stage. He prepares these forecasts using off-the-shelf Excel tools. He believes that an entrepreneur needs to understand, work with and ultimately own the forecast tools being developed. Richard has worked with a variety of small, private companies over the last decade, including a two-year stint as the head of an accounting consulting group at Frank, Rimerman & Co., a regional CPA firm. Previously, he was the full time CFO for several entertainment software companies, including Accolade, Inc.
