Engineering Leadership SIG: Product Management is Not Optional
Online Registration is Now Closed. Walk-ins are welcome.
The focus of product management is doing the right things; the focus of engineering is doing those things right. Together, we're responsible for defining and building products that customers love and pay for. Missing or mis-aligned product management (product ownership) can manifest itself through high interrupt rates, unstable backlogs, incomplete user stories/requirements, and poor team understanding of customer problems. Or building and shipping underwhelming products.
Join us on Thursday as we map out the essentials of tech product management, identify engineering-side symptoms of weak product processes, talk about why roadmaps/backlogs are so politically complex, and find ways for all of us to collaborate more closely.
