This session will help you evaluate whether your projects map to corporate strategy, to identify whether a project should be undertaken at all, at an early stage, when killing a project will be less costly.

Learn how balanced scorecard and portfolio management can work together to help you make tough resource and priority decisions, and be able to apply that knowledge today to defend critical projects and get your department into alignment with the company's goals.
About the Speaker: Jennifer Russell, the President of Mastodon Consulting, has had an accomplished 20-year career, consulting and working for major multinationals, including Vodafone, Thomson, Genentech, Nikon and eBay. Ms. Russell advises technology organizations on governance and strategy, designing and implementing change to achieve strategic objectives and to maximize operational efficiency. She brings expertise in technology infrastructure, corporate governance, organizational development and change management with a background in all facets of business. A frequent international speaker on risk, strategy and social responsibility, she was profiled by Ziff-Davis Media as a "Great Mind in Development." Ms. Russell serves on the Bay Area boards of directors of Project Management Institute and the Association for Strategic Planning. Ms. Russell holds a BS in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
