Unstructured Data Management: Putting Information into Context

Enterprises are creating and increasingly desire to leverage an exploding array of content. Enterprise search technologies as we've known them do not provide the level of information access and understanding that many enterprise processes require. Next generation search and information discovery solutions are needed for an organization to derive a higher level of business value from "unstructured" textual data sources. These solutions, incorporating advanced linguistic analysis and data visualization technologies, can understand the context of information to identify and extract concepts and entities buried within the text and then analyze and present information that is much more timely and relevant than provided by traditional techniques. Utilizing such solutions companies can more successfully tackle many of the challenges arising from the rapid expansion of information sources and formats.
