SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services provides complete, integrated, and Web-enabled analysis services. Users can perform sophisticated analyses on large volumes of data with exceptional performance using the OLAP component. Companies can discover patterns and trends and make predictions about future trends in their businesses, using the data-mining feature in SQL Server 2000. Petesch will describe how customers are using SQL Server Analysis Services to solve financial analysis problems using popular desktop tools and and 3rd party applications.
Peter Petesch is responsible for supporting internet customers in the western US in their technical evaluations of the Microsoft eCommerce platform Windows 2000, Applications Center 2000, Biztalk Server 2000, Commerce Server 2000, SQL Server & associated internet technologies. Prior to this position, Pete was an Architectural Engineer in Microsoft's Pacific Northwest office. Pete has held a number of positions at Microsoft, including product manager for ODBC, as well as a Senior Neworking Systems Engineer.
