    Presentation Overview

This month's presentation (7:00PM) will feature two products from Turbopower Software. Robert A. DelRossi, TurboPower's president, and Julian M. Bucknall, director of programming, will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions on their newest tools for VB development, Async Professional ActiveX and Sleuth QA Suite 2.

Async Professional ActiveX is a communications toolkit for developers who need serial or Internet communications capabilities in their 32-bit Windows applications. Async Professional ActiveX supports full com port control, true VT100 terminal emulation, and a rich set of reliable, industry-standard file transfer protocols such as Zmodem and Xmodem. Also provided is a gateway to accessing the Microsoft Windows Telephony API (TAPI), as well as support for caller ID, voice modem control and more.

Sleuth QASuite 2, TurboPower’s quality assurance toolset for Visual Basic and Visual C++ developers, consists of five tools for debugging, profiling and testing. Without any source code changes, Sleuth QA Suite 2 can identify even tough-to-find bugs and the line of code where they start. The Suite’s two profiling tools help optimize program performance by identifying speed bottlenecks. The testing tools, including a coveraging analyst and automated test builder, help ensure that an entire project is thoroughly tested before it’s deployed.

Our Tips & Tricks session (6:30PM) is an informal open discussion of VB development issues. Bring your favorite questions, rants, etc. (plus your appetite for pizza!)
