MapOFF! -- Watch Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, duke it out for top geo-search & mapping provider honors.

Mapping & GeoSearch are some of the coolest ways that search platforms are being used to enable great location-based applications for individual developers. GoogleMaps is now a little over a year old, and it has taken the web-based mapping world by storm. However, Yahoo!Maps has been recently re-invigorated, and Microsoft's Virtual Earth has also provided a rich developer platform for wanna-be mapping mashup developers. A host of other mapping search providers and ubergeeks have exploded onto the local search scene in the last 12 months, resulting in a event exclusively for these folks -- O'Reilly's Where 2.0 conference, coming up in May.

So what's new in rich mapping user experience? Who's got the best back-end data & APIs? And what's the best platform for a web developer on a budget & and prayer?

Come to this month's SDForum Search SIG "MapOFF!" and find out who rocks the most.
