3D Printing and Scanning SIG Event: Nokia opens up its hardware to the 3D Printing development community
Note - Online registration is now closed; You may register at the door. Thank you!
John Kneeland has lived and worked in 5 considerably different countries (India, China, Korea, Singapore, and the USA) and the one thing they have in common is that mobile technology is revolutionizing life and work in all of them. John is proud to be a part of this and it is his goal to be a leader in the space.
John started Nokia's pioneering 3D printing initiative, in which Nokia became the first major phone company to embrace the 3D printing community and open up our hardware to developers the same way we do with software developers (he coined the "3DK" name and it seems to have caught on). For this bold step Nokia made headlines in the tech media (described by GigaOM as "Nokia's smartest move in years"). John is working overtime to keep Nokia on the cutting edge and cement Nokia as a leader in the 3D printing ecosystem and the broader Maker movement. If he were to be known for anything for his time at Nokia, it would be this!
