    About the Speakers:

    Jeremiah Owyang
    Chief Catalyst, Crowd Companies

    Jeremiah is Chief Catalyst at Crowd Companies in San Francisco. He is also an advisor to Altimeter Group and former partner of four years at the firm. Jeremiah previously worked at Forrester Research as a Senior Analyst focused on Social Computing for the Interactive Marketer. Before that, he was an active pioneer of web technologies on the brand side, launching and managing Hitachi Data Systems’ Social Media programs in 2005-2007. He also served as the Intranet Architect at World Savings (now Wells Fargo) and was a user experience professional at Exodus Communications after receiving his Marketing bachelor’s degree at SFSU. He recently participated in the Innovation Roundtable at the Aspen Institute, a global think tank that shapes policy.

    Jeanne Sullivan
    General Partner, StarVest Partners

    Jeanne has more than 20 years of private equity experience and has spent 28 years in the technology sector encompassing both extensive operating and investing experience with technology companies. She was recently cited by Forbes magazine as one of the "Women Changing the World" in her role as an influencer grooming the next generation of female VCs. Jeanne is a sought-after industry speaker on the subject of investing in and building technology companies and has served as an adjunct professor of marketing at the graduate level.

    Mike Brown Jr
    General Partner, Bowery Capital

    Mike is the General Partner at Bowery Capital based in New York. Prior to Bowery Capital, Brown co-founded AOL Ventures and led investments in over 30 companies primarily focused around the next generation of CMO and CTO spend. Before AOL Ventures, Mike worked for the investment arm of Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, helping to invest capital in early stage internet startups on behalf of the British entrepreneur. He began his career at Morgan Stanley. Outside of his professional life, Brown serves on the Board of Directors of the National Forest Foundation and co-chairs the Columbia College Young Leaders Council. Mike holds an undergraduate degree from Columbia University.

    Zia Yusuf
    CEO, Streetline

    Zia Yusuf is a seasoned senior technology executive with a track record of leading companies to success. He is currently CEO of Streetline Inc., the leading global provider of sensor-enabled Smart City solutions. Streetline was the 2010 IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year. Just prior to his role leading Streetline, Zia was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures and Norwest Venture Partners. He spent the last ten years at SAP AG where he was executive vice president and a member of SAP’s Executive Leadership Team. Zia has an MS in International Affairs from Georgetown University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from Macalester College.
