    Nina Borders, Associate, Reed Smith
    Nina is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Group, focusing on patent and trademark prosecution and litigation. Nina has represented clients in a wide range of patent, trademark, and trade secret
    matters in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, and mechanical technologies. Nina has significant experience with trademark registration and counseling. She also has experience with reexamination proceedings before
    the Patent Office and oversees domestic and international trademark and patent portfolios for clients in a variety of industries. Nina is a registered patent attorney, and has a broad technical background, with nearly 10 years of experience in the food and pharmaceutical industries prior to beginning her legal career with Reed Smith.

    Arlene Chan, Senior Manager, CPA, Moss Adams
    Arlene has over 16 years of public accounting experience, including 16 years with a Big 4 firm. She is a member of the Technology & Life Sciences Group. Arlene is focused on providing the highest level of service combined with technical expertise. She has in-depth experience working with companies in the hardware and software industries.  She has extensive experience with public stock offerings, including working on over a dozen initial and subsequent public offerings.

    Rich has been in public accounting since 1991, including 13 years with Ernst & Young. He has extensive experience working with life sciences companies ranging from early stage startups to multinational public entities. Rich has also worked with public companies and registration statements related to public stock offerings. His focus is tax return preparation, research and development, credit assistance, international tax planning, state and local tax planning, tax accounting method consultation, and merger, acquisition, and reorganization assistance.

    Bill Joos, Principal, Go To Market Consulting
    Bill Joos is the principal of "Go To Market Consulting" based in Cupertino, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. He works with early-to-mid stage companies, venture capital firms and their portfolio clients to help entrepreneurs accelerate their success. Bill spent seven years as the VP of Entrepreneur Development at Garage Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that he co-founded along with Guy Kawasaki.  While at Garage, he earned a reputation for his expertise in providing portfolio clients with effective, hands-on, action-oriented strategic and tactical mentoring and coaching.

    Robert N. Philips, Partner, Reed Smith
    Rob is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Group. He represents leading corporations in patent, trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, and copyright litigation matters in federal courts throughout the country. Rob also counsels clients on all aspects of intellectual property development and protection, including clearance, acquisition, licensing and enforcement. Rob has extensive lead counsel experience, from initial case strategy through discovery, motion practice, mediation and trial. He works for clients in a wide variety of business sectors, including computer technology, digital media, engineering, publishing, hospitality, household goods, apparel, cosmetics, food and beverage, and wine.

    Bob Stefanski, Partner, Reed Smith
    Bob has a diverse corporate practice, with a focus on technology companies ranging from early stage start-ups to public companies. As a former general counsel of a public Silicon Valley software company, his experience covers a broad range of matters, including corporate transactions, intellectual property, technology transactions, employment and executive compensation, corporate governance, emerging growth/venture capital and counseling on international expansion of emerging growth technology companies. Bob has also served as a director of both public and private companies, and is an advisor to several Silicon Valley early stage technology companies. As a director of public mobile software company, Zi Corporation, he served on the Audit Committee, the Governance Committee and as the chair of the Compensation Committee. He also served as the chair of the Independent Directors Committee in its successful sale following a tender offer by Nuance Communications. He has been an active advisor in helping his alma mater, The University of Michigan, expand its entrepreneurial footprint, including as a member of the West Coast Advisory Board and as a frequent speaker for the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship. He is also partnering with Silicon Valley venture capitalists in the formation of an early stage technology accelerator and venture fund focused on commercializing capital efficient, disruptive technologies coming primarily out of the University of Michigan and its ecosystem.
