We are also inviting mobile health companies to provide some table top demonstrations. (There is still room for a few more. If your organization wants to ask to be included, send a message via the "contact" link on the Meetup page at http://www.meetup.com/SVForum-HealthcareITSIG.)

This event is co-hosted with the Mobile Internet SIG and the Health IT SIG.

    Wireless Life Sciences Alliance (http://wirelesslifesciences.org):

Vision: A future in which healthcare is connected, consumer-centric, distributed and integrated seamlessly across all providers irrespective of the venue.

Mission: to create open and honest conferences and forums, in the real and virtual world, where we bring together the individuals and organizations who will create constructive cross-functional dialogue on health and healthcare delivery. These discussions lead to collaboration to develop and deploy new cross-functional multi-disciplinary solutions.

    Scanadu (http://www.scanadu.com):

In November 2012, Scanadu, a new personalized health electronics company, unveiled the first three products in its family of consumer health tools: Scanadu SCOUT, Project ScanaFlu and Project ScanaFlo. Based at NASA-Ames Research Center, Scanadu is using mobile, sensor and social technology to ensure this is the last generation to know so little about our health. The newly introduced home diagnostic tools are set to be the biggest innovation in home medicine since the invention of the thermometer.

For background on remote monitoring for healthcare, see presentations posted in November 2012 at: http://www.meetup.com/SVForum-HealthcareITSIG/files/.
