Engineering Leadership SIG - Innovations in Strategic Sourcing
Registration is now closed. Signups will be available at the door. No cash will be accepted.
The global economy has created the need for small and emerging growth companies to support their growth with many sourcing options – but at what cost? Larry Carlson, Marketing Manager of Intugo, examines how innovation has created new sourcing opportunities that otherwise would not be available to entrepreneurs that need to protect Intellectual Property. Learn why traditional outsourcing may be obsolete and how finding the right talent at reduced cost is your competitive advantage. We will discuss when to outsource and when to consider other sourcing options.
Many Silicon Valley companies depend upon their sourcing processes to operationally and capitalize innovations quickly.
Innovation in sourcing is a collaborative process where development engineering and supplier engineering need to work together to alleviate barriers to success and co-create innovative solutions to address contradictions. Areas for innovations are in designing collaboration processes, performance measures, innovations in problem solving, and developing new capabilities. Praveen Gupta will present new and useful innovation concepts, and how could they be applied in addressing sourcing related challenges. Praveen is the Director, Corporate Quality at Prysm, Inc.
