A huge thank-you to all of the panelists for a fun, informative presentation! It was wonderful to learn how businesses can use social media to thrive in a changing market; or how easily its primary use—connectedness—translates to the business world. We live in an age where people share their entire lives online; the border between personal and professional is shifting all the time (ironically enough, the better our technology gets, the more human we need the experience to be). The potential for success with social media marketing is definitely there—it seems to largely depend on the identity you build as much as the content you provide.

    B2B sales cycles are often longer and more complex than B2C ones, and the price point is usually higher.

    • So do B2B prospects & customers really care about Facebook, Twitter, blogs or branded communities?
    • Is it worth investing your resources, e.g. time, money, and people in social media marketing? Or could you get a bigger bang for the buck otherwise?
